I had written a very good response but I forgot to mention that I am really human. My 2nd attempt may not be quite exceptional! New Orleans exists because of the river’s crescent (the city is also known as the Crescent City). The levees protected us from the flooding but over time has caused us the loss of the natural build up at the delta, thus the loss of our coast. Surely, there must exist now the engineering and technology know-how to correct the problem.
